OceanAlpha Dolphin 3
Dolphin 3 – Operational Overview
The Dolphin 3 is an advanced, self-propelled water rescue device—commonly referred to as a remote-controlled lifebuoy—designed to dramatically improve emergency response in aquatic rescue situations.
Operated remotely from shore or from a rescue vessel, the Dolphin 3 allows responders to reach distressed swimmers without entering the water. A victim can simply hold onto or lie across the device and be safely transported back to shore.
Representing a significant leap forward in lifesaving technology, the Dolphin 3 addresses a major limitation of traditional life rings—their inability to accurately reach a swimmer in distress. With its high-speed propulsion, the system can reach victims up to three times faster than even elite Olympic-level swimmers.
Instant Activation & Self-Righting Stability
Designed for rapid deployment, the Dolphin 3 features automatic activation and self-righting capabilities to ensure uninterrupted operation in chaotic rescue environments where every second counts.
-
Automatic Start-Up: The system activates immediately upon contact with water, eliminating delays associated with manual startup.
-
2-Second Auto-Righting: Using an integrated directional sensor, the device can recover from a complete capsize in just two seconds—an advanced feature included in the Plus version.
Dual-Control Operation
The Dolphin 3 provides maximum operational flexibility through both remote control operation and local manual override, allowing rescuers to maintain full control in dynamic emergency situations.
High Speed & Exceptional Towing Capability
-
Maximum Speed: 7 m/s
-
Rapid Response: 233% faster than the first-generation model (3.6 m/s), effectively cutting response times in half.
-
1-Ton Towing Capacity: Powerful enough to assist multiple survivors, tow lifeboats, or move floating debris when necessary.
Real-Time Video for Enhanced Situational Awareness
An integrated camera system with a waterproof monitor provides rescuers with a live 1080p HD video feed, enabling real-time monitoring of the water surface. This allows operators to quickly identify survivors, obstacles, or hazards during rescue operations.
Auto-Return & Low-Power Recovery
To prevent equipment loss, the Dolphin 3 includes an intelligent auto-return system that activates in critical scenarios:
-
Signal Loss: If remote communication is lost, the system automatically navigates back using GPS pathing.
-
Low Battery Protection: When battery levels drop below 15% (customizable threshold), the device automatically returns to ensure safe recovery.
